Only 58 P1 GTRs were ever built — and you couldn't just buy one — McLaren only sold the P1 GTR to existing P1 owners, as part of an exclusive Driver Programme. Each car cost roughly £2 million on top of the base P1 — and came with bespoke driver training at circuits like Silverstone and Yas Marina.

The yellow & green livery is a tribute to McLaren's 1995 Le Mans victory — the original F1 GTR #51 won Le Mans on its debut, in Harrods yellow and green. The P1 GTR's livery is a direct homage to that legendary car — connecting two eras of McLaren racing royalty.

986 BHP from a hybrid powertrain — track-only, no compromises — the P1 GTR pairs a 3.8L twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor, producing 986 horsepower with instant torque. With slick tyres, race-spec aerodynamics and 50% more downforce than the road P1, it laps faster than most actual race cars.

A fixed wing, a DRS button, and a complete weight overhaul — the P1 GTR shed 50 kg over the road P1, gained a giant fixed rear wing with active flap, and added a Formula 1-style DRS button on the steering wheel. It is widely considered one of the most extreme road-derived track cars ever built.
